PhD position in Metabolic Reprogramming, Viral Infection and
Degenerative Diseases
Chang Gung University is a world renowned university affiliated with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, which is the largest hospital system in Taiwan.
The research group of Prof. Hung-Yao Ho at the Laboratory of Redox Biology and Redoxomics, Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science, Chang Gung University is offering a PhD position. We
welcome a highly motivated and ambitious graduate who holds a MSc degree in disciplines, such as biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, chemistry etc. to join our group. The recruitee will work on innovative projects on the roles of metabolic reprogramming in infectious and degenerative diseases. The project involves state-of-the-art technology, such as
metabolomics, microbiomics, and post-translational proteomics, and the uses of genetically modified mice.
Successful applicant will work in a collaborative environment provided by our laboratory and Healthy Aging Research Center Metabolomics Core
Laboratory. At the same time, the applicant will receive a PhD education structured within the framework of the PhD program of Chang Gung University Graduate Institute of Biomedical Science.
Prerequisite
The applicant should have a good verbal and written English skill, and
fulfill the requirement of admission to the PhD program of Chang Gung
University Graduate Institute of Biomedical Science.
Benefit
Each successful applicant will be offered a studentship of US$600-900
per month to cover the living expense and tuition. In addition, a
subsidized medical insurance will be provided.
